Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Pumicestone SS Teachers Visit Banksia Beach

Yesterday we welcomed another ten Pumicestone State School Teachers to Banksia Beach to observe the great things we are doing in our classrooms. It is wonderful that we have such a positive relationship with another large Primary School in our region. I would like to thank our teachers who were very welcoming, accommodating the visits to share ideas and what they do to help students in their class get the great results we continue to achieve.

District Cross Country Success

Congratulations to the six Banksia Beach State School Students that were selected to represent our District and School at the Regional Trials. Our team performed extremely well on the day and continued our great results winning the schools competition, tied in points with Narangba Valley State School.

Students who attended this day must also be commended for their exceptional behaviour, demonstrating our PURE values at all times

Thank you to Mr MacArthur for his coordination on the day and for all the hours of training and coaching that have gone into preparing the students for the race. Also, a sincere thanks to Mr Fern for his assistance in training the students.

Choral Fanfare

Good luck to our Advanced Choir next Monday when they compete at Choral Fanfare. The students have been practicing regularly and are ready to have some fun and represent Banksia with Pride. Thank you to Mrs Cho for running our choral program as it provides another great opportunity for our students to excel in the area of Performing Arts.

AFL Q Schools Round 1

Our AFL teams are ready to go for the first round of the state wide Q Schools competition next Thursday. They have been training regularly and are looking forward to the challenge. Thank you to our coaches Mr Hawthorne, Mr Watson and Mrs Langford for their time and dedication in preparing our students for this competition.

Gala Days

From all reports our students represented Banksia Beach extremely well in the first round of competition last Friday displaying amazing sportsmanship and behaviour. The second round will be held next Friday the 2nd of June. I can’t wait to hear how the students perform; I know they will have a great time.

Thank you to all the coaches that take time out of their day to continue to train the students to prepare them for the competitions.

Stuart Bell

Principal
