Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Mother’s Day
I would like to wish all Mother’s and Mother figures in all our families a Happy Mother’s Day this Sunday. I hope you all get spoiled and sincerely thanked by family for being the great influence and support you are.
Our Preps are looking forward to the special Mother’s Day Morning Tea tomorrow morning to help celebrate from 9.00am.
Thank you to our P&C for the fantastic Mother’s Day Stall. I have seen a large number of students taking advantage of the opportunity to get something special to give on Sunday.
EcoMarine Ambassador Training
Our Ecomarine Ambassadors are currently completing their training at Tangalooma on Moreton Island. This is a great opportunity for our Year 6 Leaders to learn from experts and also work with other Ecomarine Ambassadors from other schools.
Thank you to Mrs Ruberry for taking the students today and also Mrs Prescott for running the Ecomarines with Mrs Ruberry.
District Cross Country
Good luck to approximately 30 of our students that are heading to Burpengary next Wednesday to represent Team Banksia at the District Cross Country Trials. It was a great morning last Tuesday seeing students participate in our school cross country. We have a unique opportunity to actually have students run through the bush track as part of our course.
Thank you to Mr MacArthur for coordinating a great event for all students to enjoy. The event was run very well and supported strongly by all staff, with lots of cheers from our Banksia Community.
Gala Days
Next Friday we have our first Gala Day for the year. The students are looking forward to competing and participating with students from other schools. It is a great opportunity for our students, they always represent the school well, showing great teamwork and sportsmanship.
A huge thank you once again to our coaches as they take time out of their breaks to coach our students giving them this chance to represent Team Banksia.
