Gold Parades
Congratulations to all the students that will receive GOLD Awards towards the end of Term. Our Gold Awards recognise excellent behaviour in the classroom, playground as well as before and after school. Please see listed below the days and times that Gold Parades will be held in the Hall:
Prep – Friday the 16th June, 9.15am Year 4 – Wednesday the 21st June, 9.15am
Year 1 – Friday the 16th June, 10.15am Year 5 – Wednesday the 21st June, 10.15am
Year 2 – Tuesday the 20th June, 9.15am Year 6 – Wednesday the 21st June, 12.00pm
Year 3 – Tuesday the 20th June, 10.15am
AFL Q Schools
Last Thursday our Senior Boys and Senior Girls team competed in the first round of the QSchools AFL competition. Both teams represented the school extremely well and showed excellent sportsmanship and teamwork.
The Boys competed very well winning 3 out of a possible 4 games. Unfortunately, they were not successful in making it through to the next round by win percentages only.
Our Girls team performed exceptionally well! Not only did they win all of their games, no team managed to score a single point against them. As a result the girls’ team was successful in progressing to round 2 of the competition to be held in Term 3.
Choral Fanfare
Well done to our Senior Choir for receiving a silver adjudication at Choral Fanfare. The students performed amazingly, displaying the Banksia PURE values very well and to receive a silver adjudication at this time of the year is a great result.
Gala Days
Thank you again to our amazing coaches for taking our Gala Day students for the second round for Term 2 last Friday. We will share the results of the teams early next Term. Once again, the students represented the school very well, being great representatives of Team Banksia.
