Banksia Beach Year 5 and 6's recently competed against 28 other teams at the Moreton Regional Robotics competition. They competed in three seperate challenges with all teams awarded first place in their division.

The winning all girls team of Emily, Madison, Ginger and Olivia, developed a Robotic Dance Performance where they built and programmed four robots to perform a scene autonomously from the Jungle Book.

The mixed team of year five and six students, competed in the Cup Clearer Challenge where they programmed a robot to clear obstacles from an area as quickly as possible. Marley, Byron, Ashlen, William and Sarah, performed consistently throughout the rounds giving them a first place result.

The all boys team of Logan, Dylan, Hayden and Ethan competed in a Simulated Robotic Rescue event and were strong performers on the day, which paid off with a clear win.

STEM facilitator, Mr David Hobson said, "The teams scores reflected the students commitment to achieving their best and were the result of many weeks of hard work."
