Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Happy Holidays!!

I would like to wish all Staff, Students and Parents a relaxing two weeks holiday. It has been a very rewarding Term and everyone deserves a break. I hope you will have time to refresh and recharge for the last 10 weeks of the 2022 school year.

Once again, I would like to thank all of the Banksia Beach State School community for welcoming me back to the school and I can’t wait to see the end of year events, already on the calendar for Term 4.

A reminder that school resumes on Tuesday the 4th of October.

Prep Enrolments 2023

We have begun our Prep enrolment process for 2023 and it has been great to see some future students here at Banksia.

Our Prep Transition Program will be starting in Term 4 and we look forward to showing all our future Preps what they can expect next year. A reminder to parents that to be part of our transition program your child needs to be enrolled before they can participate.

Well Done Netballers!

Congratulations to the students that competed in the Lightning Cup Netball tournament on Wednesday. The students represented Banksia extremely well and displayed excellent sportsmanship throughout a very tiring day.

GOLD Awards

It was great to see so many students receive GOLD Awards this term. The students that received GOLD Awards have demonstrated excellent behaviour throughout the term and had the opportunity to participate in the ‘GOLD’ Activity as further recognition of the effort they have displayed all term.

Keep a watch on our school these holidays

With the holidays fast approaching, we need you to look out for after-hours crime in our school. If you see something suspicious, please don’t attempt to intervene. Call School Watch on 13 17 88 and let the local police or State Government Protective Security Service deal with the matter.

The School Watch program is a partnership between the Department of Education and Training, the Queensland Police Service and the State Government Protective Security Service. It aims to reduce vandalism, theft and arson in Queensland schools. Keep the number handy and let’s work together to help create a safer school community.
