Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Show is aimed at children aged 3 to 8 and is delivered in early learning centresand lower primary schools to children of all abilities. This fun and interactive personal safety program has reached hundreds of thousands of Australian children since its inception in 2006..  As part of our educational program at Banksia Beach State School, we are offering parents the opportunity to have their Prep to Year 3 students view the Bravehearts ‘Ditto the Lion’ show.

This interactive show is a great way of teaching and reinforcing personal safety awareness.  By teaching students the principles of personal safety we are giving them the knowledge they need to stay safe and know what to do if anything does happen.

Topics covered in the show are:

  1. Yes and no feelings – feeling safe and unsafe
  2. Warning signs we might feel if we are unsafe
  3. There is not secret you can’t tell someone
  4. What to do if you have a bad feeling
  5. Keeping ourselves safe

Where: School

When: Friday 31 May 2019

Cost: $3.00 due by Friday, 24 May 2019

We feel that it is important for each every student to have the opportunity to attend this show as it is linked to the curriculum and the learnings may help them know what to do if a tricky protective behaviour situation ever arises for them.  It is one real way of helping our children to remain safe, even when we can’t be there with them.

Thank you to our P&C who have subsidise the cost of this program so as to reduce the price for our parents.
