How do you travel to school?

During the 6th week of term we conducted in class hands-up surveys to find out how families are travelling to school. The survey results show;

13% cycle, scooter or skateboard to school;
19% catch the bus to school;

This term since the baseline survey we have improved our active travel to school by 7%. Our goal is to have a 10% decrease in car use over the year. Let’s keep up the great work for the rest of the year and we will reach our goal. If everyone walked, wheeled, carpooled or caught the bus even part the way to school just once a week our school would become a less congested and safer place for our students.  Why not pick up one of our Active and Safe Mapping Booklets from the office and use the suggested parking locations and walk or wheel part of the way to school.
