Community Link Canberra Trip 2017

31/08/2016
RSL Community Link is a national RSL Remembrance project.  It gives people of all ages the opportunity to attend remembrance services and ANZAC Day marches as the personal representative of an Australian or Allied service veteran who has passed away.

If you would like your child to join Community Link, they can march for a relative who has passed away.  If you don’t have a relative they can march for the many people who have passed away with no one.

Joining Community Link also makes this year’s Year 5 and 6 students eligible to participate in the 2017 trip to Canberra to attend the Dawn Service and to march at the ANZAC Day ceremony.  The trip next year will also visit many exciting Canberra landmarks including Parliament House, the War Memorial, Questacon, the Royal Mint and many other interesting places.  Year 6 students must attend Bribie Island High School next year to be eligible.

Application forms and “Expression of Interest” forms have been handed out to interested Year 5 and 6 students.  Please see Mrs Mackay (2F) in B Block if you are interested and/or missed out on a form.
