We would like to take this opportunity to remind volunteers (other than parents who are exempt) that it is now compulsory to undergo a Working with Children Check and hold a blue card before they start volunteering in any area of regulated employment, regardless of how often they come into contact with children and young people.
This is now a "no card, no volunteering" policy and the Commission's Act has changed to include new categories of employment and business and new conditions for some existing categories of employment.
