Banksia Beach State Primary School

Dear Parents,

 

This week we have seen the successful Leader Ceremony. Our Leaders were presented with their badges by Mrs Carryn Sullivan, MLA Pumicestone, or Ms Karen Lindsay, Principal of Bribie Island State High School. I was very proud of all students. In particular Sarah Neville, Charlton Lansley, Samantha Gibson, Jorden Dossel, April Ross, Jade Carnall, Seth Colson and Laura Cameron were wonderful ambassadors as they led our ceremony.

All schools in the Sunshine Coast Region have just received their Information Communication Technology rating. We were one of only 9 schools across the Region to achieve a AAA rating. We should be very proud of this effort and congratulate our leaders of this programme, Rob Ruberry, Paul Bunn and Jennifer Rolfe, for ensuring our resources are utilised effectively and our programme development achieves such high level outcomes.

 

We are once again asking each family to contribute to our Technology program through the annual $20 donation. This added resource allows us to continue our awarded program.

To continue to provide the highest quality program, extra interactive whiteboards, new computers and an increase in resources for all students we would ask that your contribution be paid as early as possible.

Car Park safety

Please remember the important road rules parking around our school. We had two very near accidents this week. Please observe all signage and follow directions. I have asked police to continue to patrol this car park. The car park is council land and is under the direction of council officers. Fines have been issued in the past. Our children sometimes do not follow the safe rules and we need to be extra vigilant.
