Celebrate Being Under 8

E-mail Print PDF

Under 8’s Week at Banksia Beach was enthusiastically celebrated last Tuesday. Ms Mortlock, Deputy Principal at Banksia Beach, along with teachers, groundsmen and parents all kicked in to make it an exciting day to remember.

The theme this year was “Our Children, Our World, Our Future” – so a Mini Olympics was staged for the morning but with a “back to the future” flavour. Children from Prep to Year 3 enjoyed participating in sack races, three-legged races, spud and spoon races and even Pin the Tail on the Possum.

Children enjoyed a fun-filled morning designed to celebrate children in the early childhood years by helping them to learn with joy, fun and happiness.

At the end of the morning, the children sat down to watch a presentation of the story “Koala Lou” – a story about Australian animals participating in a Bush Olympics and joined in singing “It’s a Small World”.

IT’S GREAT BEING UNDER 8 AT BANKSIA BEACH STATE SCHOOL.
